The music from this album is very diverse and pulls from many different musical influences. All of these songs were originally written on the bass guitar, and I tried to write the bass parts in a way where they would hold up by themselves. Victor Wooten, Marcus Miller, Stanley Clarke, Victor Bailey, and Wayman Tisdale are all HUGE influences on my bass playing, and I would not be doing what I do today if they did not pave the way. Funk music including Earth, Wind, & Fire, Jamiroquai, Rick James, and Prince are all huge influences on how I produce especially when it comes to the accompaniment around the bass guitar. While this is the majority of my album, I am definitely influenced by other genres like fusion, jazz, hip hop, and progressive rock that you may find elements of throughout this album.
