Born Marjorie Antenette Brown, in St. Louis Mo., Morie began singing at the age of 5. Often asked to sing/perform for family and friends throughout her youth, she quickly became very familiar with the sound of music. Morie grew up admiring the skills of Stevie Wonder, the beautiful harmonies of Boyz II Men, Take 6, and Xscape as well as the amazing performing of Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, and Prince. She started her first singing group at 9 yrs old, AMA. The group consisted of herself and two friends, Atiana Wortham, and Aariane Hendrix. After graduating high school in 2002 Morie found a liking to the recording studio and all it entailed. She began singing hooks, as well as writing for multiple local St. Louis artist, as well as traveling to different cities. She also learned engineering and recording techniques. In January 2003, Morie gave her life to the Lord Jesus Christ, and made the commitment to strictly write songs to glorify God and further the kingdom. She then joined her church choir, and became a member of the gospel group, "Christ's Company". In 2008 she took the initiative, along with husband Aleon, to start recording her own music, which lead the team to starting their own record label, Jesus Musick Ministries. In 2009 she released her hit single "I Would for You" which touched the hearts of many listeners throughout the Midwest. As she prepares for her album release in February 2011, she looks forward to everything that the Lord has planned for her life, as well as this music ministry.
