This song captures a particular mood that puts one in a relaxed, yet invigorated state of mind. The title came about when the song was completed and sitting there on my keyboard workstation and it needed a title to be saved. It happened to be 5 a.m. at the time because my dog woke me up so he could relieve himself. Considering the track had digital birdsong in the intro and the stringy pads reminded me of a sunrise, I felt "5 A.M." would be an appropriate title.
