Her songwriting shows maturity, and the images she creates through her lyrics coupled with her strong vocals and music, are bound to attract attention from the industry and fans alike." -Ken Tobias, Singer-Songwriter/Producer/Visual Artist (Producer of the cd, Kim Jarrett) 2007 Biography: With her smart and pervasive live presence, and mature and straightforward songs, Toronto singer/songwriter Kim Jarrett has been quietly collecting fans since her self-titled debut CD was released in September 2002. Her songs, and the single, “Do I Have the Patience”, have been featured on regular Adult Contemporary, CBC, and College radio stations from St. John's to Vancouver. She was one of twelve finalists in a national contest co-sponsored by the Canadian Value of Music Coalition in 2004, and has been co-hosting open mics and songwriter events in Toronto since early 2006. With influences ranging from 1980's Top 40 to 70's rock and beyond, Kim’s music is a reflection of many. Often described as folk-blues, roots, or “real” music – her natural, melodic voice, combined with her personal lyrics, has universal appeal. In 2006, a partnership between Philips Electronics and Toronto distributor, BenT Music, put songs from twelve independent artists onto Philips Electronics mp3 players. Kim's song, "How Long" was one of them, and as a result, Kim is selling CD's and gathering new fans all across Canada, the US, UK, and Europe every day. Kim Jarrett performs regularly as a duo in and around Toronto with bassist Mike Costantino. Her sophomore CD,"Thinking of You", (produced by Mike Costantino) will be released on December 4th, 2007. These ten tracks are sure to please old and new fans alike, with their pop/rock/roots flavour enhanced by guitar work from Toronto's Tim Bovaconti (Ron Sexsmith), and Eric St-Laurent.
