简介
"The Outskirts" is the sophomore effort from Jersey hard rockers, Bobby Mahoney and the Seventh Son. After releasing "Friends in Low Places" in June of 2014, Bobby Mahoney and Jon Alba jumped right back in to writing songs, focusing on more elaborate arrangements, catchier hooks, and a more mature sound overall. Rather than doing another narrative like "Friends…", Mahoney and Alba decided to focus on different characters, all dealing with similar situations, and how each character handles themselves and the world around them. The more conversational lyrics lead the listener to relate to the everyday struggles of survival, success, love, etc. that Mahoney/Alba write in these songs. "I believe you should write and play the music you would want to listen to, so thats exactly what we did. Jon and I thought about what we would want in an album from some of our favorite bands, and we just wrote a bunch of really fun tunes. It definitely has its darker moments, but this is definitely a fun, raw, rock album." -Bobby Mahoney Memorable choruses, huge "wall of sound" guitars, and the energy of their high-octane live show- all come together to create "The Outskirts".
