Back in 2006, Discobox started as a house music party in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, aimed in playing high quality music to a small crowd interested in hear new sounds. Discobox had a unique vibe and during its almost 100 editions hosted the more expressive names of brazillian and international underground house music scene like Funky Transport, Asad Rizvi, Luiz Pareto, Camilo Rocha, Renato Ratier, Renato Cohen and Marcos Morcerf, just to mention a few. Now we are moving a step forward, focusing even more in the music : Discobox Records is born. An independent record label presenting the party's musical concept in exclusive productions, keeping a foot in the past and other in the future. We want to release music inspired by the sounds of 70s disco and classic house music as well the modern and synthetic flavor of nu-disco and tech-house sounds. Our debut release features brazillian househead Dansoul providing a solid piece of funky disco house with a retro taste in 'Dance to the house'. Synth stabs, piano riffs and a phatty bassline bringing back the vibes from late 80s house to meet modern sounds of nowadays house music. 294 records' owner, the talented producer Lucas Rezende, deconstructs the track into a deeper jackin trip that flirts with soulful house music. You can expect a groovy bassline, rhodes and piano riffs along with a funky drum and percussion. Rounding the package, we entitled the underground hero from Sao Paulo DJ Mimi, to provide the last remix. Working as DJ since the 90s, Mimi is also a proficient producer and manager of the well known Puzzleheads label. In your version Mimi creates some new elements adding his distinctive and classic tech-house vibe.
