简介
The Chinese name of my song is called 《愛是...偏偏愛你》. I wrote this song on January, 2010. As life has been so busy and crazy, my song has been stored in my composition archive for 7 years, but finally and gratefully, it can be published and performed in my Master Thesis presentation this year, on May 18th 2017. Originally, I wrote this song for telling my philosophy about love. Interestingly, at the end of 2016, when I pulled it out and was revising it for my Master Thesis presentation, I felt so touched by the song. I feel like it is a song that God wants to sing to me myself. So, when you listen to this song, please imagine someone is singing this love song to you. In this live performance, in order to honor my own culture—Chinese pop music, I especially added a line at the Intro and the outro part, which are referenced from two famous Chinese pop songs from 80s and 90s, namely, 《有了你》(Cantonese) by Danny Chan, and 《你知道我在等你嗎?》(Mandarin) by Chang Hung-Liang. Actually, Danny Chan was the favorite singer of my mom. Danny Chan was passed away in the same year as my mom did when I was a child. So, adding a line of referencing from Danny Chan’s song into the intro part of my song in this live performance is also an act of my memorizing my mom. I hope you will like this song.
