简介
Peter Boulton has been writing and recording his own music from a very young age. A founder member of the Boulton Brothers Band in the early '70's, Peter is a multi instrumental musician with an extensive catalogue of original music both as a solo artist and as a band member. He was the principal song writer with the Boulton Brothers Band whilst also performing vocals, guitar and drumming duties. After re-forming the Boulton Brothers Band after a 30 year absence, Peter co- wrote, recorded and produced two new albums with 'The Brothers' - 'Reunion' and their most recent the critically acclaimed 'Live From The Couch'. Since working with the band - Peter has gone on to dedicate himself to the production of his latest solo album 'Wilderness Road'. Recorded at his home studio in Kent, Peter has written, performed and produced all of the tracks himself (apart from track 4 'You're the Reason' which was written by brother Symon Boulton - Peter features on the drums and backing vocals). The Album has taken shape over the past 3 years and has been largely inspired by his relationship with his beautiful wife Victoria. Charting the highs and lows of their experiences together, the album drifts from the haunting 'Hearts of Fire' to the celebratory 'Blow out the Candles'. Peter also acknowledges his most important and influential connections and emotional inspirations within the soulful and uplifting 'Brothers' and 'Erin's Song' dedicated to his brother Symon and his first grand child Erin respectively. Family and friends play a major part in shaping Peter's music - 'Tuscan Nights' captures playful, evocative memories shared with close friends during a memorable summer in 2011, whilst 'Hide and Seek' is a thought provocing, reflective commentary on Peter's own insecurities and lack of self confidence. Dedicated entirely to his gorgeous wife Victoria - 'All I need to See' gently washes over the listener whilst Peter's wistful lyrics conjure up special memories and feelings that are underpinned by his love and dedication to his life's partner. Darker moments are also touched upon within the poignant 'A Long Time Coming' - although even here the sense of hope for the future permeates and weaves it's way through the lyrics and often magical music. 'Wilderness Road' is very much a personal statement from Peter. It's an open book which offers the listener a glimpse into the writer's life through an emotional and ultimately uplifting journey. It's the latest offering from a musical legacy that spans four decades of original song writing.
