Formed in 2012 by Alexander Gershman, a talented bassist and passionate music lover, Sasha's Bloc is now an electric mix of musicians focused on the revival of jazz culture of the 1920's and 30's, combined with adaptation of modern jazz. All 50 live performances at the finest clubs in LA have been sold out events resurrecting the spirit and greatness of the American Jazz Classics. This CD is the first release of the original songs written by Alexander Gershman and Carina Cooper, the young talented vocalist, and recorded in collaboration with some of the finest and most renowned jazz musicians the world has offer such as: Brandon Fields (saxophone), Lenny Castro (percussion), Herman Jackson (piano), Maxayn Lewis (vocals), Mark Cargill (violin), Joe Diblasi (guitar), Bob McChesney (trombone), Will Wheaton (vocals), Adam "Aejaye" Jackson (vocals) and others.
