Jescos are an "all star" Tennesse/NYC collaboration between James Jackson "(Wooden) Wand" Toth, Tim Bracy from The Mendoza Line and Bingham Barnes from Glossary. Two mellow, but powerful, songs about artists who came to prominence in the 60s... Beatles, Stones, and Doug Yule (Velvet Underground). Tracks 3-6 are taken from the Wooden Wand/Golden Boots split 7". Wand's outlaw country meets Golden Boots Alt-Alt-Country Space Folk with a tremendous synergy. Tracks 7-10 are taken from CarCrashLander's "All Y'All" 7". CarCrashLander is the solo project of Portland multi-instrumentalist Cory Gray who has played with/recorded with bands like The Decemberists, The Dodo's, Darron Hanlon, Graves, Norfolk and Western, and countless other bands! Tracks 11-13 are taken from the Southerly/Protest Hill 7". Combines two of Portland's best orchestral pop bands. Tracks 14-16 are taken from The Crash That Took Me's "Unreleased Songs from the Orchestrated Kaleidoscope Sessions". Heavy, spacey, textured, and melodic shoegaze.
