Tyler Morrison's biggest problem with music is he loves EVERYTHING. From Josh Groban to Gavin Degraw or Selah to Stevie Wonder and Fred Hammond. When starting this project, he had ideas of sounding like Anthony Evans, Gavin Degraw, Allen Stone, and Lauren Daigle, all at once. Monty Jackson Music (producer) was able to bring him down to earth a little bit, while still grabbing various elements from each of those genres, and infusing them subtly throughout. Songs on the album range from completely acoustic with just piano and background vocals, to complete orchestral arrangements, and then a few have the more traditional gospel piano/organ/guitar/drums combo. In short: the lead vocals are strong and soulful, the background vocals are fresh, and the orchestrations are beautiful.
