Eternal Vision was a New Jersey-based hard rock/metal band with influences ranging from Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Stanley Clarke, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Rush, Pantera, Pearl Jam, and others. Fronted by the visionary, sometimes hallucinogenic lyrics and vocals of Jim Spinella, the band featured the amazing guitar work of Patrick Bitbol, and was anchored by the rhythm section of Frank LaPlaca on bass and Joe Bergamini on drums. Bergamini and LaPlaca went on to play together in the well-known instrumental progressive rock group 4Front. LaPlaca and Spinella are still active together in the band Buddha Brains. Last Century Shock captures Eternal Vision at the peak of its powers. During the early 1990s, EV performed all over New York City at major venues such as Limelight, CBGB, and the Cat Club. The band was courted by multiple record labels, but never secured a record deal and disbanded in 1994. Also included in this re-release are two rare tracks that were originally issued as a 2-song CD "sngle": "One Bullet, One Solution," and "Addicted to Confusion," both recorded at the House of Music in New Jersey with producer John Rollo. "One Bullet" was a heavy staple of the band's live show, while "Addicted to Confusion" displayed the more jam-band, Santana-esque side of EV, which they were beginning to develop further at the time they broke up.
