The song was a collaboration for these two bands who had worked together for years on many previous projects but had never collaborated on a song. Started in late December 2008, the basic drums were written around a set of guitar riffs that Kris Langemann (aka Kristopher James of Blaming Taylor) had previously composed. Keys and backgrounds were played and programmed around that by Jay T. Edmondson (aka J. Thorn of INDELIBLE) and bass and extra percussion/drums were recorded later between December and January. The lyrics were written and recorded in the same timeframe, starting with a rough chorus written by J Thorn and re-written by Kris and Lee Edmondson (aka Illucid of INDELIBLE). The other lyrics were written by the performers and the song was pre-mixed by the end of January 2009.
