简介
Forging ahead on the power of their first EP Your Eyes Don’t Lie, Fallstar has been turning heads in the Northwest scene and beyond since 2005. Their sound is raw, tenacious and a diligent escape from formulaic hardcore bands. Fallstar has truly built a community of listeners in which everyone can feel a part of this band. Prior to 2008, Fallstar had endured multiple line-up changes and struggles. Founding members Chris Ratzlaff and Justin Haag knew that the band had to be brought back to its roots. By the end of that year the band was back in full swing having added guitarist Jason Brown and bassist Bryan Ratzlaff. This bold and solid lineup has become a formidable constant and has since toured the nation playing shows such as The Wake with The Glorious Unseen and Sleeping Giant, The Eminence Conference alongside Seabird, John Mark McMillan and Spoken as well as being voted to play Warped Tour two years running. Fallstar’s full length debut entitled Reconciler Refiner Igniter is a brutal landscape of exploration of their lives and ours, challenging and chasing. Written over the past several years documenting experiences in faith and life on the road, RRI is an experience, a conversation in verses and choruses. These five know why they are here. Fallstar is here to spread a message of hope and revival, community and love. Their live show is a hectic explosion of energy and tenacity, getting the crowd involved while often stating “The stage is yours, the mic is yours, join us”. “Crazy guys. Dangerous guys. Fallstar actually believe God might use them to change lives and they live along the line that nothing matters nearly as much as glorifying Jesus throughout life. Humble guys. Broken guys. Needy guys. I think they recognize how fragile they are and how fragile this whole business is. They are lovers. It’s hard not to fall in love with them after spending even an evening with them. Thrilled to call them friends and honored to call them brothers.” –Chad Johnson (Come and Live) “Fallstar knows how to write intense music that's not polished just to be polished. I can relate to the music but don't feel exhausted after listening to it. Melody has to be a central part of any good song and Fallstar nails that on the head. Outside of the music, Fallstar are good guys that want this thing more than anything. They have a passion for the music, a heart for the fans, and are focused on connecting their faith with the music which brings an authenticity that is very relatable.” -Matt Greiner of August Burns Red “This record will surely stand out among the never ending wave of emerging artists in this genre and will once again prove that there is originality out there. Don’t expect Fallstar to be flying under the radar for much longer.” –Hopecore.com Magazine “With a new record on the horizon, entitled Reconciler Refiner Igniter, the boys of Fallstar are poised on the edge of something big. Glancing over the cliff along with them will prove an adventure and your ears will thank you.” –Substream Music Press
