Mathias & The Pirates is the combination of Mathias James (Ex- Earthworms), Ms. Vizion (Ex- Grea Tones), DJ LB (Ex- Grea Tones) and Grover Stewart on drums (Superhero Killer / Brothers Lazaroff / Mo E Allstars).

Veterans in the Midwest music scene, hailing from the proud city of St. Louis, and poised to take this project to the moon, the Pirates crew offers a sound that no-one else can lay claim to. Elements of funk, electro, rock and roll, golden era hip-hop, sea shanties, and classic soul find their way into a beautifully produced album called "Life of the Buzzard".
