Evil Eye formed early 2013/late 2012 in Brisbane when members of D9 (Dan), Sausage Chopper (Pete) and Abreact (Melbourne) (Simon) began writing fast melodic thrash and melodic groove metal with Tim Baker (ex-Reapers Riddle - Perth) on drums and Craig 'Beardman' Dalton on bass guitar. Pete and Dan jammed with Antz and Rudi (Postlife Disorder) and found their playing styles matched so well they decided to start a new project. They wrote a few tracks and were lucky enough to come across Simon White (ex-Abreact) who had recently moved to Brisbane from Bendigo. His vocal style was exactly what Evil Eye was all about, powerful mid-range almost hardcore style with depth and range and a touch of Phil Anselmo passion. Simon introduced the band to Tim Baker who had recently moved from Perth to round out the band with drums. The 5 piece was finally cemented when Craig Beardman Dalton joined on bass.
