简介
Drawing together elements of Soul, Pop and R & B, Nat Brown, the singer/saxophone player, has become well liked for his smooth stylings on classic songs. With casual ease Nat plays and sings many songs from the 50's, 60's and 70's (plus a few originals) and has been featured on radio and television shows throughout California. Having shared the stage with Little Richard, Etta James, The Coasters and Ike and Tina Turner in earlier days, it's no wonder Nat is reaching for the stars. Nat Brown credits his family for the strong musical roots that run through his veins. But it was a pivotal event in his early teens however, that changed his life's course. On the street with a group of friends who were playing, Brown was shot and lost his sight in 1952. While attending the Missouri School for the Blind he was promised a musical instrument and he chose the saxophone. He's been playing ever since. Since his first successful CD release, "First Day In Love", Nat has release five more CDs. Nat's latest musical accomplishment, "Smooth aka Nat Brown" contains his Grammy nominated single, "Blueberry Hill". Nat Brown released his first CD and gave a special performance at the Missouri School for the Blind in St. Louis to give tribute to those who helped him along the way. Nat has never allowed his blindness to be a wall, just a hurdle that he has cleared many times. With hard work and determination Brown earned a Ph.D. in clinical psychology. "I will often say that I lost the gift of sight, but I was given the gift of insight," Brown says.
