"The guitar interplay...is warm and fuzzy, while the harmonies are consistently spot on and shimmering...This is a fine summer record". - Jason Schneider - Exclaim! Magazine (Toronto, Canada) "A nice balance throughout the recording of upbeat power pop numbers, and mellower romantic songs of love and heartbreak" - itsnotthebandihateitstheirfans.com (Toronto, Canada) " ...there's nothing in "Decline" about Elvyn's sound and they've got a definite top 10 of '10 contender on their hands" - Absolute Powerpop (Florida, USA) "The consistent quality of the musicianship and songwriting is what puts this band over the top. It's not to be missed". - Powerpopaholic (New York, USA) "Apologies in advance if you're unable to stop humming them for the rest of the day". - Beat Surrender (England) "This is simply fantastic music and I’m already in love with Elvyn." - One Chord To Another (Turku, Finland) "That Elvyn could be compared to the Dwight Twilley Band is no small feat, as not many bands could claim that." - Altcountry.nl (Holland) Short Bio: Trends come and go and fashions change, but some music stays with us always. Since the days of their first Fostex four-track recordings, Elvyn have sought the sounds whose foundations were laid by giants and were built upon by the bands that fill their record collections to this day. Formed by Joel and Ryan Beerman in 1998, Elvyn began to craft songs influenced by a youth spent with the soft sputter of vinyl and hiss of cassette tapes, jam packed with pop gems from bands such as The Replacements and classic Americana like The Flying Burrito Brothers. Joined by Jason O'Reilly on bass and Jeremy Knibbs on guitar, Elvyn released this new and much anticipated full length album, The Decline in March of 2010.
