Outlandaa! is the EDM project of Daniel Cook, based out of St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. He began producing in early 2010, with very little musical background, but a very strong technical background as a Computer Science student. Quickly absorbing as much information as possible about DAWs and synthesis, countless hours were spent learning to turn the noise into music. In the summer of 2011, he saw some success with the release of his first single, "Hardware Failure", which was distributed by several prominant EDM blogs, gaining worldwide downloads and listenership. Most recently in March 2012, his first full album "The Scene" was released, a project completed for the RPM challenge. This successful release was also carried by several blogs, and established some local popularity. This popularity eventually saw its way to the rest of the east coast, when Outlandaa! was chosen to play in a showcase at ECMA Week 2012 in Moncton, New Brunswick.
