Heart Opener is a thoughtful story about love and relationships when things aren't so black and white. It combines honest lyrics, catchy melodies, and powerful production to create a sound that is easy to listen to. Edy Blu is an enchanting singer and songwriter who effortlessly floats between genres of pop-soul, blues, reggae, and folk. Edy wrote the songs on this album while living in Washington DC in the Spring of 2015. She traveled to Barcelona, Spain that summer where she met Raul Del Moral, guitarist and producer who helped her create the tracks behind her acoustic songs. Heart Opener was recorded in Barcelona.

Edy Blu has a soulful tone and poetic presentation. Reminiscent of Corinne Bailey Rae, Sade, and Erykah Badu, Edy is still an authentic creation. A Virginia native, Edy was born and raised on a farm in the Shenandoah Valley. A country girl with an urban edge, Edy now resides in Washington, DC.
