简介

Raised in New Jersey , to a devoted middle class family, Will’s passion for music didn’t start early on. Will wanted to originally become a train conductor and subsequently a college professor before he realized that singing was his true calling. As Will began singing in his church choir at age 15 and eventually began singing lead solo’s, Will envisioned that there was much more diversity in his voice that needed to be heard. Will joined a Classic Rock Bar band called “BananaFish” as a background singer and soon was playing in local bars around North Jersey. Will got a taste of being on stage and singing to fans who praised his unique vocal quality, and from there never turned back. Soon after the band broke up, Will was asked to front the 3 member new wave band “Imaginary Grace.” Opening for such New Wave acts as Anything Box, became a favorite among local New Wave clubs in the area. Disbanding in 1994, Will went on to record a couple of demo tapes of his own works before being asked by his former Imaginary Grace band member to again become the front man for a 2 man group called Carol Masters. Will agreed and soon starting playing bigger New Wave Clubs in the NY/NJ area also opening for Anything Box and Modern English. Carol Masters became a well known electro pop band releasing 2 full length albums and 2 remix albums with fans and record sales as far away as Germany. While singing with Carol Masters, Will’s desire for creating his style of music became paramount so Will decided that he would record his own album. Finding the right producer wasn’t easy. Will auditioned 18 producers until he found the right fit in Mike Degen. Degen is a NY based Electronic pop producer who has produced tracks for Lady Bunny and Rupaul. Together they came up with Will’s debut 2003 album “Sanctuary,” an album fused with elements of Drum and Bass, Garage, Pop, Electronica and R&B. Will composed all the songs on the album with the exception of “Drowning in your eyes” written by the late Ephraim Lewis. Shortly after releasing his first album, Will was contacted by Franz Patay of the IMZ Music Center in Austria. Franz had been given Will’s cd and was interested in helping Will make some contacts in Europe. Franz sponsored Will to attend the Midem Music Conference in Cannes each January from 2004-2006. In Midem, Will was able to meet with other independent artists and make additional contacts while networking with European independent music market. In 2003, Will entered the New York International Music Festival along with more than 10,000 other aspiring artists. Because of the abundance of applicants, each person was allowed to perform one song in Madison Square Garden. Will performed “Sanctuary” and was later awarded an Outstanding Artist Award. That award gave him the chance to perform at NY’s BBkings Restaurant and China Club. Will was also invited by the International Music Festival to perform in Las Vegas at the now-defunct Club Seven. Looking to start a new phase with his music while keeping up with the ever changing landscape of pop music, Will decided to return to the studio. This time focusing on Pop and R&B, Will wanted to create a distinct sound that people would recognize him for instantly, rather than focus on mimicking today’s music. The result was Will’s current effort, “Be Here for You”. It melds Will's unique vocal delivery with his penchant for creative songwriting, passion and soulfulness. Will's creation comes from personal experiences over the last couple of years. Along with helping friends cope and work through their life and relationship issues Will also worked through his own personal growth. “It's an album that showcases themes of love, but the occasional heartache vibe peaks through." “I wanted people to identify personally with this record and to feel a connection between what I was saying, and any given scenario going on in their own lives." "I think people internalize music more when they have gone through what the songs express." With this in mind, creating "Be Here for You" was tricky and rewarding at the same time. Will's producer Joel Dean had the daunting task of bringing Will's very diverse musical ideas to life. Will wanted to incorporate R&B, Reggaeton, Pop, Salsa, elements of Rock and Dance into his music. He accomplished that goal. 2016 sees Will finishing up his latest album. Will shifted gears this time to give us a Dance/Pop/Electronic album. The album was produced by longtime friend and band mate Rob Glanzman. Its a delicate and balanced mix of songs written by Will and covers of popular 80’s tunes that are instantly recognizable, but remarkably re-interpreted with Will’s signature sound. Determined to be an innovator and renaissance man through his music, There is no telling which direction he will go next. One thing is certain, it’s sure to be an exciting ride.
