But Silverfish always had a fusionist, mad-mechanical ear for wrenching out a tune in even the most terrible of circumstances. In a lot of ways, Organ Fan, a major-label release, was the band at their best: hardcore post-punk metal filtered through Stratocaster gabba fronted by a woman who made Kim Gordon sound like Lulu.
