简介
Life takes many twists and turns but for me one thing has never changed… I love to sing! I have a passion for many types of music and wanted to record a double album of 28 songs that cross the classical & pop genres. So, here it is: Tom Solomon - Beautiful Day When I listen to songs it’s extremely important for me to have a connection with the lyric. No matter how beautiful the tune, the words need to be the driving factor as this is how a performer connects to their audience. Every song featured on this album tells a story as well as being a stunning composition so I hope you hear 28 stories with 28 beautiful melodies! A bit about me… I’ve had a very varied career so far and have been fortunate to perform in many West End, New York, Regional, International and Royal Opera House productions including Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera, Chicago, Scrooge, The Enchanted Pig, Pleasure’s Progress, West Side Story, Hello Dolly, Into The Woods & Chess. I have performed with some of the world’s greatest orchestras including the BBC Concert Orchestra on Radio 2 and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra at the National Concert Hall in Dublin. I’m also a BBC International Award Winning Vocalist and have performed around the world in countries including Australia, Fiji, America, South Africa, China and much of Europe but most importantly… I love dogs, food, warm weather, wine and life! I would like to thank the fantastic James Treweek for his Keyboard, programming and production work on this album! Thanks to Chris Burgess for recording my vocals and also my other brilliant musicians James Pusey – Guitars and Accy Yeats – Drums. Thank you to my fabulous harmony vocalists and friends Suzie Mathers and Annabel King. Thank you to the awesome combination of Arron Dunworth for his photography and Michael Adeyeye for the album design. Also a thank you to all the writers of these amazing songs because without your creations I wouldn’t be able to record them! Over the years I have had many guiding lights and I would like to mention Michael Kibblewhite, Sarah Kinsella, Paul Farrington, Jimmy Jewell, Maurice Barrett and my mum Mary Solomon. Thank you for all your help and advice. I would like all my close friends and family to know how much I appreciate you in my life and the support you give me! Finally I would like to thank YOU for supporting this album. Enjoy! - T
