Some of the greatest songs every written...that's how I feel about the great American standards. The songwriters of the 30's, 40's and 50's knew all the tools to make a song great...alliteration, rhyme and catchy hooks to grab our attention. I spent many hours as a young girl listening and singing along to these musical gems and will always be inspired by them. I'm so fortunate to work with Minneapolis jazz great, Mel Wheeler.
