简介
Jhock Raphael Pierre Davis was born on September 16, 1986 in the "windy city" of Chicago, Illinois. Raising himself on the rough streets of Chicago, Jhock learned the hard way that if he was going to survive in this world, he would have to fight for it. At the young age of fourteen, Davis discovered his talent for freestyle rap. Battling his friends at school and on the streets, he was able to escape the grim reality that the "Chi Town" hood provided. Dominating his peers with his rhymes and metaphors, Davis won the House of Blues Freestyle Championship in 2004, and the Atterbury Job Corp 2005 Freestyle Championship. Coming to the conclusion that he was beyond amateur, Jhock decided to take his skills to the next level. It was at this time that Jhock Davis became known as Real Talk (The Metaphor Messiah). At the age of 21, Real Talk decided to join a hip hop group and put his lyrics on paper. Influenced by the lyrical writers such as Tupac, Notorious B.I.G., Eminem, and Nas, the young artist was renown for his clever metaphors and catchy hooks. In August of 2010, Real Talk became the co-founder and CEO of his hip hop group, The Legacy. His fan base rocketed as he begun to distribute his first mixtape, 6 Points of Pressure in January of 2012. Since the release of his mixtape, Real Talk has been excelling in the music industry at a sickening speed. He has performed all over the Midwest in major cities such as Chicago, Illinois, Indianapolis, Indiana, Detroit, Michigan, Cincinnati, Ohio, Louisville, Kentucky, Nashville, Tennessee, and many more surrounding areas. He has also been featured in an underground hip hop website called Chi Town Heat and the internet OG Radio Station. In October 2012, he released his second official album, Jack of All Trades, a series of tracks that really defined the life of Real Talk. He is finally releasing his most recent masterpiece, Real Talk 4 The World, featuring G.E.E.S.U.S, Mizz Karmah, Ray-Lejen, and produced by Ray-Lejen, and D.J. Tango. "My goal is to leave a legacy, not just in hip hop, but every genre and all over the world," quotes Real Talk when asked about his goals. "I want to touch people from all walks of life and create opportunities for others." And for the aspiring artists, Real Talk's advise is, "Show patience, but at the same time, strive for your goals. Whatever you do, leave a legacy in this world and the next."
