About theblowouts The Blowouts are made from the finest ingredients: 2/5th’s part the Fumes, 1/5th part Velvet Pelvis and 2/5th’s Trampoline Girl. The Blowouts started out in Jan. 2005 with there first show in May of 2005. Since then the Blowouts have played with The Charming Snakes, The Jailbirds (Japan), The Makers, The Nightmares, Kleveland, The Lowbudgets (ex-Dead Milkmen), the Dead Ones, Crimson Sweet, SK and the Punk A** B**ches... The Fumes are former Empty Records… Scooch Pooch Records (Epitaph in Europe) fav's who broke up in 1999. The Fumes were well known for there original Dragster style of punk. Velvet Pelvis was an all girl punk group who were on Too Many records and Trampoline Girl were local favorites whose other members went on the play in the Creeps and DFA. The Blowouts have made a quick impact in the local Spokane scene and are about to record for a future record. The Blowouts fucking rock and if you see them live you know I'm not lying. Big, Fast, crunchy rock riffs in the classic Spokane bar-punk style; will induce head-bobbing, but won't spill your bear. The Blowouts feature ex-members of the Fumes and Velvet Pelvis. If those bands don't ring a bell think of the sound akin to The Gits, or more recently, The Soviettes.
