简介
Deter Road (pronounced DEE-TER) is the 7th album of "Southern Swamp Music" by Clifton Davis and Doug Pitts. Says Cliff, "This collection of tunes really showcases the variety of music that we hear in our heads. From the fast Boogie Blues on cut #1, "Lucille" to the hard driving harmonica chugging on cut #9, "Do Me", there resides a whole world of rythms and tones. Blues, Jazz and and a touch of Country story-telling give Doug Pitts room to maneuver on his Strat. His playing soars on these tunes, particularly on all of the instrumental cuts... good stuff! Songs average 7 minutes or so, in that we leave time for extended riffs and musical ideas to evolve. The title cut of "Deter Road" refers to the Lovers' Lane that was so popular in Florida where Doug grew up. So go ahead and take the plunge... find out what we are all about." Cliff
