Often, creatives may find themselves drifting, bored... or even underwhelmed at their current spots in life. When this was the case for Me, especially in early grade school; I always drew and carved pictures/ thoughts wherever I could. The "wood" represents the desks that I'd carve into. The "carvings" are the dreams that children like me would think up to recreate on any surface. "Carvings in the Wood", the album, brings to the table raw and innovative production that is complemented by the lyrics of a poet. Its content is centered on relatable topics like relationships, politics, stress, deep emotion and issues that are constantly overlooked by artists of our generation. My music is my muse and my muse is bringing a new urban sound to the streets and the digital world, raising the standard of Hip Hop/Rap.
