Unusual...but true story. In 1981 we started the Straps and created the songs you are now thinking about buying. We began as a Staten Island garage band and broke through to the NYC club circuit. Our high point was opening for Billy Idol at the Paramount Theater. We enjoyed a substantial local following that really connected to our music. All of our songs had a little pop rock hook and could have easily been played on any FM channel. The problem of course, was that despite showcasing for Warner Brothers and Chrysalis Records.....we just couldn't find that "one in a million" big rock and roll break. In frustration the Straps disbanded in 1983 and the music was forgotten. Recently, our midlife crisis motivated us to re-group the band and awaken the songs that were dormant for 30 years. After having our 4 track recordings digitally remastered by Tony Lazzara at Cherry Bomb studios, we realized that we may have been ahead of our time.
