For years, generally in the late fall, friends, fans and the kind folks at radio have been asking Mike for his holiday songs. Finally we have our wish for this holiday season. This project started out as one solitary holiday original, but as Mike started writing, the holiday spirit took over; he quickly discovered he had enough material for a CD. The title track, "Almost Christmas," is sure to be a hit. It captures the warmth of Mike's voice along with the sincerity of his writing. "Christmas Schooner" has a bit of that holiday magic in it based on the traditional Christmas schooners transporting trees to areas farther south... who is that Captain anyway? Along with his nautical background, Mike chose three covers that have always been favorites of his and embody who he is. The track "Stocking Stuffer" is a special instrumental that came together as a result of a wee jam session in the studio. Together these tracks complement each other well and are sure to make the listener smile!
