this is volume 5 of the "psychedelic tunes" - series, which is a collection of mostly instrumental melodies & beats. most of the songs are groovy & psychedelic in one way or the other, but there are quite a few different styles mixed together... imagine a fusion of electro, psytrance, garage 80's synthpop, ambient, 60's psy - all styles shaken & stirred by a gentle psychedelic storm.... ___ title 1 : "electrofuck" it's a special little song. it's been made after my first few experiences on dance partys. i came home and made this song and i didnt allow myself "too much weirdness / psychdelic outbursts" in it in order to make it sound right for people's ears on dancefloors. a very interesting result..... title 2 : "the bing" yeahh...there's a thing - in the street - that goes 'bing' ! a crazy song. very ambient and still a nice groove... a collaboration with chris tata, a friend from new zealand. he is responsible for lyrics and voices. title 3 : "my mind is blank" so, it was...a little psychedelic unique tune that has a beautiful melodie ! title 4 : "dreamcatcher" what a weird, but interesting song ! the drums drum you into the ground - the melodie is theatralic & blows up in a delayed blurred mass. title 5 : "dusty souls" now, this one - groovy, funky, trippy, weird....and great ! title 6 : "old candle" an old hymn that has not preveously been released and is a mellow ride through a nice landscape, unfolding a melodie that is taking you directly into dreamland ! title 7 : "tripgroove" as it says - it grooves. and it has some beautiful psychdelic synths going crazy alongside some insane drum-tom-loops (which are hilarious !) - and brings out a wonderful melodie that is what i call a real psychedelic tune ! title 8 : "dancing shoes" a song that can make you move - it's different, though ! even though it's best discribed as a mix between electro & psytrance it has it's own strange sound about it. the beauty of the song lies in the many different parts and layers and the final fatness (3/4 into the song) the kick gets fat and the songs peaks. great and unusual song-order... title 9 : "strange night" one of the special songs on this cd - a song that is so deep & mysterious, spaced out and groovy, but yet so mellow - and then this melodie ! it just takes you away ! title 10 : "dragon curtain" as if a curtain opens and a dragon waits for you behind there...a real trippy mode, experimental, dark and lost in electronic mashed spaceland. title 11 : "into darkness" this song lives mainly from the many guitar-samples that twirl around the layers of mysterious melodies that slowly unfold in the song. it quietens down - then goes bang ! and strikes back with all melodies at once... a true hymn ! ___ robodop snei is a solo project by dan silver that started off 1996 in germany. there have been various cassette-releases in a small number of copies throughout the late 90's. 1999 gave birth to the first cd called "düster/freundlich". a few live appearances followed prior to that release. in december 1999 the base of robodop snei changed to australia / melbourne.
