After a small winter break, we're back with the first Crossfrontier Audio release in 2012, bringing you some new and fresh remixes of an old Solar & Poppcke classic. Lightest Shades of Grey was originally released on Ostwind Records back in March 2008 and serves as a milestone to the beginning of Daniel and Marc's career in electronic music. Until this day, the track remains their favourite Solar & Poppcke production in addition to getting great feedback and plays from big names like John Digweed back in the days.

The package starts off with a remix of Madrid's own Los Suruba. The two guys turn 'Lightest Shades of Grey' into a clubby peak-time bomb, which will capture dance floors around the world. Their forthcoming releases on Get Physical and their own label Suruba, make them a promising star in 2012, and we are more than happy to have them on board for this release.

While they started to release music as Solar & Poppcke four years ago, Daniel and Marc have developed into different musical directions, which is mirrored in their reworked interpretations of the original track. Marc shows his preference for melodic tracks with a steady focus on the dance floor, while Daniel delivers a mid-tempo version of 'Lightest Shades of Grey', displaying his love for stripped down, deep, and disco house tracks. Furthermore, Daniel Solar has been running the label Dikso together with Andi de Luxe, one of the most successful labels of that genre in 2011.

Last but not least we have a remix by upcoming Berlin artist Dürerstuben, who have, in addition to their mesmerizing live shows, already delivered amazing releases on labels such as Laut & Luise and URSL in 2011. With their down-tempo version of 'Lightest Shades of Grey' they show their true belief in unpredictability. Watch out for their upcoming EP von Crossfrontier Audio, where you can expect more surprising and out-of-the-ordinary tracks, which will, in the true spirit of the label, cross musical frontiers.
