简介
Music has always been a part of this gospel artist, praise & worship testifier, and Chicago native’s life. Reggie Vanderbilt’s love story with music started when he began singing solos in church, and at the age of eight he began singing with the Vanderbilt family choir. He started singing as a youngster and by his teens, he was in great demand, so in 1990, Reggie had become a member of a group named K.O.D.A., a popular R&B singing and dance group. His group was managed by Brooke Payne (New Edition) and opened for acts such as 112, Johnny Gill and Mint Condition. After being in the group for seven years, God had a calling on his life and Reggie answered and began singing for the Lord in 1997. Following his departure from K.O.D.A., Reggie continued to pursue his love for music and was ultimately sought after by Chicago gospel staple, Keith Butler. At Butler’s request, Reggie joined Keith Butler & the Delegation for Christ Chorale (DFCC) and was featured on their debut CD in 1999 entitled “He’s Been Good to Me”. His tenure with the group was short-lived, deciding to join his friend Jermaine Richardson to form the group, Treasures in Earthen Vessels, where he continued to use his musical gifts to edify the body, soul and spirit. His pursuit opened doors for the two to record a collaborative project in 2003 titled “5 Seasons” which featured Chicago’s Kevin Gray and BET’s Sunday’s Best standout Tasha Collins. Possessing a fine tenor voice, Reggie started to become in demand, andeventually would sing background on Kevin Vasser’s 2006 release, “So Glad”. Reggie began his solo career proper after a chance meeting and connected with gospel icon Percy Bady. He soon became a key member of Bady's camp, and sang background for several projects under the guidance of Bady, working with several of contemporary gospel’s leading lights, and backed artists BeBe and CeCe Winans and Donnie McClurkin among others, as well as being featured on Percy Bady’s most recent venture, “Kingdom Inspirations, before launching his own solo career and ministry. Known as a worshiper, Reggie Vanderbilt has been blessed to perform on countless stages and is thrilled about the new project/ “Amazing" due out summer of 2015 and believes that his debut single, “True Love” and now second single "None Like You" is a true and testament of God’s devotion that has taken him to the next level.
