简介
Houston TX had a problem and his name was Marcus Shepard. Born and raised in Acres Home, a 9 square mile community in northwest Houston; Marcus’s story is one of triumph over circumstances. In an effort to seek a better life; at age 14 he left home to dwell on the rugged streets of H-town. From sleeping on park benches, to sleeping in apartment lounges, he did what was necessary to survive. At age 17, the fast life caught up with him. He served a year term for possession of a controlled substance. Under normal circumstances, that would’ve been enough to break the spirits of any young man…not Marcus Shepard. What changed his life was a statement made by the police guard on the day of his release, “You’ll be back.” 3 words changed the course of his life forever! This was the beginning of a ferocious, insatiable appetite for a better outcome than the one he’d created for himself up to that point. So who is Mr. K. R. Y. P…a.k.a. Keep it Real Young Pimpin’? The derivation of the acronym was established in conjunction with the swag that followed his new personality and outlook on life. It is his motto, the way he lives from day to day.
