Praise the Lord to all, I am Elder Donald L. Smith, also known as “Bubba” by most of my friends and family. S.O.U.L. means Spirit Of Unconditional Love. The Lord has blessed me to write songs ever since I was a boy. A lot of these songs were written as I was going through another test for another testimony in my life. I’ve written over 70 songs but only one has been published so far. A song entitled, “Good To Me” was recorded by the University of Mississippi Gospel Choir under Malaco Records in which they received a Grammy nomination for the recording in the year 2000. I also been playing lead and bass guitar ever since I was at the age of 8. My main focus for the past few years has been my duties as a minister and pleasing God. I answered my call into the ministry in April of 1994 while I was a member of the United House Of Prayer in Blue Mountain, Ms under the leadership of Bishop Henry M. Finley. Now the Lord has put me in the position of Pastor for the Church Of Jesus Christ Congregation in Oxford, Ms which was founded by my father, Bishop Willie L. Smith. We’re trying to do God’s will and be the vessels that are pleasing in the sight of the Lord. I feel that the Lord is ready for me to take this music ministry beyond the walls of the church building to be a help to others outside of the walls. I’m a member of the Gospel Music Workshop of America-Memphis Chapter; Christ Crusade Choir (CCC) from the Mid-South area which is headed by Brother Michael Small. I was a member of the Missouri Gospel Announcers Guild. I\'m associated with Foundation Music out of Memphis,Tennessee.Now,the Lord has given us(S.O.U.L.) a determination to be a blessing to others through this music ministry. I believe that this project is going to be a blessing to all that hear it. As the old saying goes,\" What Comes From The Heart,Reaches the Heart.\" Our ultimate goal is to continue to help build of God’s kingdom. Pray that we will stay in the will of God.
