Venezuela's Outer Pulse and Zarathos team up to form the Algiz project, a three-minded music creating machine that will surely make strong waves in the trance music scene radar. Their first offering, 'Leaves On The Moorland', comes inspired by the beautifully mysterious mountain landscapes of Merida, and it surely reflects those intriguing vibes in its cold and deep atmosphere splashed out with crafty vox chops around a very forward-thinking lead melody, and takes them to the dancefloor as it gets combined with a hard-hitting saw bassline that guarantees instant foot stomping and hip shaking. The Outer Pulse guys themselves decide to take over remixing duties and give life to a version that incredibly manages to sound even more upbeat and edgy, with dramatic ups and downs, and loads of smart effects playing around along a surprisingly dropped second melody that adds a more classic, uplifting feeling to it. And speaking of classic sounds, Zarathos took Outer Pulse's remix and gave it his own, personal respray, delivering an even deeper, stripped back, oldschool sounding progressive trance version with a very spacey feeling all over the atmosphere.
