Live from Planet Earth

This is a specially-priced TWO CD SET!! The recording is of a concert I played in May 2016 to a full house at the 10,000 Villages Cafe in Ephrata, Pennsylvania. 'Live From Planet Earth' plays exactly as the concert went down, in the same order, and with no overdubs. After some persistent encouragement from my friend and esteemed colleague Chuck van Zyl, I decided to take on the challenge of engineering a way to play my particular cuisine of ‘ambient music’ live - inherently layered and complex - in such a way that its performance is faithful to the sonic dimension and depth experienced in the original recorded version. Presented here is a alchemical blend of compositions from several of my existing albums, carefully chosen for their potential to provide good continuity and flow. Hopefully, the result will be an experience of wondrous, primordial soundworlds where prehistory meets future-tech, conjuring up a visceral sonic odyssey which ultimately renders itself impossible to carbon-date. Through the course of this unusual musical journey we are invited to discover a new access to our true Selves, from the deepest regions of our sacred souls to the sublime, existential worlds of our highest being.
