简介

“Rebecca Caine and Gerald Moore explore this frothy repertoire with the joy and expertise only the finest champagne deserves! It's a delight from beginning to end, and my dear friend and collaborator, Gerald Moore, even contributes his own very stylistic singing. I, for one, am grateful that the two artists have revisited these songs.” Renee Fleming “We so enjoyed the evocation of the great days of musical comedy in this enchanting disc of Rebecca Caine and Gerald Martin Moore. Rebecca has all the charm and the perfect voice to bring this repertoire to life, and Gerald has so captured the voice of our old friend Noel Coward that we felt that he was in the room with us.” Joan Sutherland and Richard Bonynge "What a delightful recording! Rebecca Caine truly understands all these wonderful songs and obviously enjoys performing them. Her voice is truly beautiful and her diction superb. Gerald Martin Moore accompanies with great skill. His singing is light, witty, accurate and compliments Miss Caine’s operatic style beautifully. The idea of making an album of songs that were introduced by five very famous female artistes of their day, is a good one. Rebecca Caine is equally at home singing music by Ivor Novello, Noel Coward or Cole Porter. More please!"
