简介
This album is dedicated to all those people who encountered Mick, whose paths crossed with his and maybe re-crossed many times. Once you met him, you never forgot him and he will live forever in these recordings. Mick played and sang with Flaming Barstools along with his two brothers Ian and Rob and Dave (Dad). Some of the songs on this album were written for Barstools and some were written after he moved to the Blue Mountains. Three songs were written in loving memory of and dedicated to Family and Friends. These are The Year We Lost Our Mum to Margaret Duncan, Tony to Stevie Plunder (The Whitlams) and The Elephant King to Andy Lewis (The Gadflys & The Whitlams). All songs written, sung and played by Mick Duncan and recorded by Ian Duncan, except The Year We Lost Our Mum (recorded by Richard Ball) and Oh Sweetheart. Oh Sweetheart was the last song Mick wrote. He recorded the guitar part from his hospital bed and Ian added vocals and the other instruments from Mick’s notation. All songs warmly Mastered by William Bowden at King Willy Sound.
