SKIN is where music, art, performance, and film collide. Our goal is to create an experience that literally envelops the senses. Artists often bandy about the term, but this show is the definition of multi-media, synergizing music, film and circus: Live music accompanies multiple projected images with synchronized lighting. And performers are suspended from fabric while images are projected on their bodies as they perform acrobatic feats overhead. Each song explores a different theme or emotion, some political, some sensual, some frightening, some hallucinatory. It has been described as a cross between Pink Floyd, Orbital, Cirque Du Soleil and David Lynch. If punk rock and electronica f**ked one night with the video camera on, SKIN would be their illegitimate lovechild who ran away to join the circus. SKIN has performed live at Electric Daisy Carnival, Burning Man, LA and SF Decompression, Xara among other events. SKIN's debut release is a 2 disc set including a full length 70 minute CD and a full length DVD containing a visual version of the album (each song is it's own unique cinematic experience). Kevin Bourque, the driving force behind SKIN is also the composer of the soundtrack for Cirque Berzerk's Beneath.
