The primary home of Sarah Grain & the Billions of Stars is Ark Barn Studio, home of drummer Ryan Koch's Ark Barn Productions and his family's farm. The backdrop of their music is big sky ... and billions of stars.

It was here that their story began with Sarah Grain's 2010 album 'Terrain', a collaboration with Koch and bassist Nate Gray. Four years later, and joined by guitarist Doug Sauter and pianist/vocalist Mina Keohane, they quickly established their sound in the Indianapolis music community, and grew an impressive repertoire of original songs. Grasping you, these songs will get into your head and have you singing to yourself the next day. And each live experience is different; the band effortlessly adapts from full electric sound to small acoustic duo, giving listeners the chance to hear the songs they love in any setting.
