Known for his quick wit, vivid storytelling, and emotive messages, up and coming rapper Mike Vocab is not afraid to amp up the volume. Born and raised in NYC, he fell in love with rap at the age of 11. His east coast roots exposed him to a number of hip-hop genres, all of which inspired him to experiment with music, giving way to his own individualistic identity. Vocab, released his first mix tape, "Matters of the Heart Part 1", in September 2016, which featured 6 short tracks each retelling a personal struggle and a moment of self-discovery, as he took the audience on a trip through the human condition. "The Release", an impromptu second EP delves into personal issues which are vocalized and addressed as he continues working on the sequel to Matters of The Heart, set to release at the end of Summer 2017. Steering clear of superficial labels, his love for lyricism and passion for philosophy has put him in a category of his own.
