Chiron Farrimond, also known as Chiron2009, is a producer, musician, and editor from the United Kingdom (U.K.). I am a person who believes in constant change, I move from genre to genre in order to get an understanding of how a style is produced and develop myself as a composer. Sites like YouTube gave me a ground to explore for new music like never before by exposing me to music from the likes of India, Korea and Japan. Aside from this, I originally had the odd album (or two) bought from a local music store, with the mass majority of the records I owned being a part of my parent's collections, so I came to know and like bands such as ABBA, ELO and The Beatles. My signature track of this album would have to be “Golden Shimmers” featuring Helen Brockway (Indigo), the whole theme of the song was based around the cycle of the seasons with each line on song representing a different season. Dreams & Nightmares is a collection of tracks that were composed over 2 year span which fuse many styles together in usual and experimental combinations. It takes you on a journey up to heaven before abruptly dropping you into the fiery-depths of hell, a synaptic rollercoaster ride for the mind. The whole initial idea of making an album started 2 years ago after the creation of "Walking on Air". Each track that I created on the album was composed after a rage of inspiration, this meant that the album was a mixture of styles but something I wanted to structure that way. I had one of best times composing the tracks for this album, I loved the idea of fusing different styles together and creating something that may sound weird but would work. The album features two piano duets (Quattro Elementi & Ocean Tides) and a odd-sounding chip tune track plus many new and exciting tracks. A special thanks to Helen Brockway for co-writing the track “Golden Shimmers” with me, it was something I had never experienced before - writing a track from scratch - it was one great journey and I am look forward to collaborating with her again in the future.
