Highway to the Effin Stars is DEKAL's freshman release containing songs spanning a number of sub projects. The songs explore the quiet expression of rage and angst against a new world where feelings of sadness, violence and sex are subverted into the politically correct medium of sterile expression.

Cash Allen explores addiction, falling in and out of love, and the loss of close friends on tracks such as "A Way To Win", "Landslide", "She's Crying" and "When You're In Love."
