Before you get to heaven its a rough and rocky road. Music, when channelled in the appropriate way can reach the upper-realms of our existence as we know it and transcend beyond the physical boundaries we are accustomed to. i aspire to reach ever higher peaks, breaking free from my limitations and uniting through the magic that is music. First and foremost I'm inspired by G-d. My songs delve through my own journeys, inspiration and personal experience, via the yearning sounds of early 1940's Harmony Groups. I venture to the Deep South and further beyond, you'll hear that I'm inspired by Alan Lomax's many discoveries plus jazz tendencies of the geniuses that are Nina Simone and Tom Jobim, the beautifully introspective elements of Nick Drake and sweet melancholic sounds of Ali Farka Toure and Paul Simon.
