简介

What is OBJECT up to now? A 14 (or is it 17?) song album of all country songs! Some songs are pretty, some philosophical, some are hard driving, some venture out to untouched country frontiers, and some suggest that the members of OBJECT are in danger of getting their tongues permanently stuck in their cheeks. "Eileen": A very pretty ballad of hopes and dreams with an unforgettable melody. "Bed of Roses": Ray Charles has the Raylettes, Mel Torme had the Mel-Tones, so lead singer Rollin Bones got the Boneairs to do the back-up vocals on this song of lost love that takes its metaphor way too far. The Boneairs really "stand out" on this cut. "Don't Take My Heart": Breaking up is oh so hard. Your wife, girlfriend, or significant other empties your wallet and strips the house of all its possessions. Eventually, all you have left is your heart. Cry along to this sad tale. "Daddy Sold the Trailer": A child's horrifying story of becoming "as lost as a sailor, drifting all alone on an asphalt sea," when his daddy sells the family trailer and buys an RV. "Backseat": I believe it was the group the Minutemen who said that inspiration only lasts about a minute; thus, all their songs are very short. "Backseat" clocks in at 1 minute and 11 seconds. Do the math. That means there is 11 extra seconds of inspiration on this tune. "So Lonely": A number stripped down to convey the emptiness in the narrator's life. "Over and Over": No matter how many times you go over it, there's just no explaining what went wrong. "I Broke Down": Miss Alice Davis co-wrote the lyrics on heart-rending story of a lost relationship. Although the song was written for a woman to sing, Rollin Bones thought that he was woman enough to sing it. Follow our character's downward spiral, which leads her to become "the poster girl for pharmacology." "Cowboy from Durango": Our main character, "a man of refinement and taste," is having trouble fitting in with the other cowhands. Shunned and unappreciated, he takes a stunning revenge. "I Lost Lucinda": Sometimes women fall in love with someone for the wrong reasons. In this poignant tale, "Lucinda fell in love with [his] guitar's twang." "Radio Melodies": Sit back and try to enjoy the ride as your unseen, annoying passenger keeps changing the channel on the radio. "Pride and Visions": Someone call Kenny Rogers and tell him his song is ready. We may be talking another GRAMMY. "Three Riders": Best described as Johnny Cash meets Dick Dale meets Nick Cave. "Lament": A dirge-like, spacey, slow, country blues number. What country will sound like in the future. Much thanks from the members of OBJECT: Rollin Bones, Art Rythic, Prehensile Dale, Buster N. Lester, and the irrepressible PigWig Jackson.
