Guitarist Al Gomez is referred as one of the most versatile guitarist in Texas...tejano, country, rock, r&b, jazz and funk. As a freelance guitarist, Al stays busy working with various groups in Texas.. Currently Al is working in the West Texas area. Some of Al's influences are Marcos Mendoza (childhood friend), Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton, Brent Mason, Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, Larry Carlton, Lee Ritenour, Pete Anderson, Babyface, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Bruce Conte and most of our current smooth jazz guitarist... Al has played and/or shared the stage with the following: Little Joe Y La Familia, Johnny Hernandez and The Third Coast, Tortilla Factory, Selena, Aaron Neville, Willie Nelson, Johnny Rodriquez, Carlos Santana, Buddy Guy, Lou Diamond Phillips, Cheech Marin, Paul Rodriquez, Jimmy Smitts, Kevin Fowler, Tracy Lawrence, Rick Huckaby, Krysti Worley, and many more. Al's second studio solo CD "Catchin' a Vibe" (Shade Records, released Summer 2016), oozes some of the funkiest grooves around! "Catchin' a Vibe" is flowing with great smooth guitar playing and continues Al's love of classic songs with great vocals and harmonies.
