She’s The First began on Nov. 1, 2009 when founder Tammy Tibbetts and Christen launched a youtube video that became a movement that now reaches millions and has sponsored more than 2200 years of girls education. When Christen asked Grace to perform at STF’S 2016 Annual Mentor Breakfast, Grace was truly inspired by the groundbreaking work of the organization and decided to compose a royal anthem for them called “She’s the First”. The song will premiere on Oct. 11, 2016 to celebrate the UN’s International Day of the Girl Child, a resolution adopted in 2011 that recognizes the power of adolescent girls to help break the global cycles of poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. The song “She’s the First” was produced in collaboration with some of LA’s top pop music producers and will be embraced by high school and college STF members from 193 chapters in the US (1.3M total student body reach) with social media-driven campaigns. The soulful, catchy melody and lyrics that are grounded in empowerment, breaking barriers and unity will resonate deeply with socially aware millennial women. Grace will also film a music video, premiering on Nov.1, to celebrate STF’s seventh birthday. The video will represent She’s The First scholars, student leaders and female role models who were the first in their endeavors by incorporating footage submitted by the STF community. All proceeds from digital downloads will be donated to She’s The First.
