The Wise Man's Fear is a Post-Hardcore band formed in Lafayette, Indiana, in early 2013. They recorded their debut album, "Ascend from Darkness," at Whisper Studios in Kokomo, Indiana. They combine melodic guitar leads with crushing riffs, raunchy bass lines, fast double-bass drumming, harsh screaming with soft cleans, Dubstep, and epic synth patterns. The band has been compared along with such big-name bands as August Burns Red, Haste the Day, The Devil Wears Prada, blessthefall, Make Me Famous, Attack Attack!, and even Periphery!
