In honour of celebrating the success of their second album (This Ain’t Hollywood), Silence is Sexy recorded This is Hollywood together with the Cuban Royal Republican Orchestra. Together with young conductor and arranger Sander Zwiep, Silence is Sexy-singer Hendrik-Jan de Wolff travelled to Cuban’s capital Havana. There, four songs from the album This Ain’t Hollywood were reinterpreted and recorded at the Amadeo Roldán Auditorium Theatre.

Silence is Sexy is named after an album by Einstürzende Neubauten, and often compared to acts like Editors, Radiohead, Kashmir and Interpol. Since their first album, the band has been searching for the essence of the perfect pop song. In 2005, the band won the Grolsch Grand Prix, the oldest and most renowned Dutch rock-prize.
